They ARE filming Sherlock <3 Can’t wait….
Just watched “Star Trek: Into Darkness 3D” and have to say that it was AMAZING!!! I don’t like this type of films that much, just went to cinema to see Ben on a big screen, and I didn’t regret it. Benedict can play any role. ANY. And I still think he’s one of the best actors of 21st century. <3 <3
Lara Pulver (Irene Adler) on Sherlock
The actress who played dominatrix Irene Adler in Sunday’s episode, told TV Biz: “Benedict said, ‘It’s all right, Lara, you can hit me harder.”
“I was like, ‘Oh can I now, Benedict Cumberbatch?’
Lara had to hide her nerves to strip for the role as the sex worker with a brain to rival Sherlock’s and a BlackBerry full of dangerous secrets.
“There is something about being a woman and being naked that’s great and I thought, ‘Let’s just celebrate that’.
“Martin was naked in Love Actually. Benedict is always naked – he was naked on stage in Frankenstein – so I was just joining the club.
“It was like, ‘Let’s all just get nude and do Hair The Musical!”
CUMBERMANIA
While he’s grateful for his fans’ support since the phenomenal success of Sherlock, Benedict is also very forthright about some of the more intrusive aspects of Cumbermania.
“There’s some obsessive behaviour, which is a bit worrying – for them, not me,” Benedict says, dryly.
“It is a strange thing to deal with. I am very wary of people recognising me.
“What really p***** me off is people trying to surreptitiously take a photo on their phone. That f**** me off. It’s invasive, cowardly and pathetic. Why do you need that proof?
“If you really want a photograph, ask me. People say: ‘Ooh, they were probably shy.’ Well don’t take a photograph, then. That’s a cheat’s way out.”
SHERLOCK star Martin Freeman admits he would happily punch Benedict Cumberbatch in new scenes that see the detective admit he faked his own demise.
Martin, who plays loyal pal Dr Watson, wants his character to have a “very violent” reaction in series three to Sherlock’s return from the dead.
Martin said: “I don’t know what Dr Watson’s reaction is going to be, but hopefully something very violent.”
He says he is constantly being quizzed about Sherlock’s untimely “death”. But he insists he has no more information than the drama’s fans, thanks to creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat’s steely determination to stay silent.
He went on: “Mark and Steven play their cards very close to their chests — I haven’t even seen a script for the next series. I texted Mark the other day saying can I see one and he said not yet — so I’m as in the dark as everyone else is really.”
But Martin did reveal that his character’s reaction to Sherlock’s return from the dead is unlikely to be the same as Dr Watson’s in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original classic tale.
Martin hinted that the TV drama is likely to see his character react in a far more explosive way when he discovers Sherlock’s elaborate trick. Speaking to Radio Times, Martin added: “I think Mark probably felt that fainting is not very 2013.”
Benedict Cumberbatch on Star Trek: Into Darkness
“The costumes look great. Some of them were very cumbersome and heavy, but some were very snug. You can almost see what religion I am.”
”cumbersome” - Yes, it is not a mistake, he did really say that. (Was it on purpose??)
“No one can fail to be impressed by his undeniable ability as an actor.
This year he is especially in demand”
